# Knowledge Bases

A **Knowledge Base** is a collection of your own documents and reference material that an agent can draw on: policies, product docs, past reports, FAQs, contracts. Add your files once, and any connected agent can search and cite that material while it works, so its answers come from your source of truth rather than general knowledge.

## Add a knowledge source

Create a knowledge base, add your files as knowledge sources, and connect it to the agents that should use it. From then on, those agents search and cite the material while they work.

**Great for:** support and helpdesk agents, policy and compliance questions, and any task where accuracy against your own documents matters.
