Setup has two parts: add your Plivo credentials on Voice Agents, then create an application on the Plivo console and attach it to your number. > **Note** > > **Before you start:** an active Plivo account with console access, at least one Plivo phone number, and Voice Agents access with permission to add telephony connections (**Deploy → Phone Numbers**). ## Add the connection on Voice Agents Voice Agents needs two account-level values from Plivo - your **Auth ID** and **Auth Token**. #### Get your Auth ID and Auth Token (on Plivo) Log in to the [Plivo console](https://console.plivo.com). Your account's **Auth ID** and **Auth Token** are shown at the top of the home page (dashboard). #### Enter and save on Voice Agents In Voice Agents, go to **Deploy → Phone Numbers → Add Connection**, select **Plivo**, enter both values, and click **Save**. The connection now appears under **Deploy → Phone Numbers**. --- ## Create the application on Plivo Create an application that routes incoming calls to your Sarvam agent, then attach it to your number. #### Open Applications In the Plivo console, in the left sidebar under **Build**, click **Applications**. #### Create a new application Click **Create Application** (or **Create New Application**) and enter: | Field | Value | | -------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- | | **Name** | Your choice (e.g. `Sarvam application`) | | **Answer URL** | `https://apps.sarvam.ai/api/app-runtime/v1/channels/plivo` | > **Note** > > Only the **Answer URL** needs to be set. Leave the other URL fields (Hangup URL, Fallback URL, etc.) as they are. #### Save the application Save the application. #### Attach the application to your number In the left sidebar under **Deploy**, click **Phone Numbers**. Open the number you purchased, then under **Application** select the Sarvam application you just created (e.g. `Sarvam application`) and save. > **Warning** > > Phone numbers you add on Voice Agents must also have the Sarvam application attached to them on Plivo. Both sides need to know about the number. > **Note** > > The application setup above is only required for **inbound** calls. For **outbound** calls, no extra setup is needed on Plivo beyond onboarding the number on the Sarvam platform. --- ## After connecting Once both sides are configured: #### Add your phone numbers In Voice Agents, open your Plivo connection under **Deploy → Phone Numbers** and add the numbers. See [Manage Phone Numbers](/conversations/deploy/telephony/manage-numbers). #### Route calls to an agent For incoming calls, create an [Inbound deployment](/conversations/deploy/inbounds) to route each number to an agent. To dial out, add the numbers to a [Campaign](/conversations/deploy/campaigns). #### Verify with a test call Place a test call to (or from) a number and confirm your agent connects. See [Manage Phone Numbers](/conversations/deploy/telephony/manage-numbers) for the test-call steps. > **Note** > > **Outbound calling** uses this same connection - dial out by adding the numbers to a [Campaign](/conversations/deploy/campaigns). No separate credentials or Plivo-side setup are required. > **Tip** > > Plivo supports [call transfer](/conversations/build/tools/call-transfer) end to end. No extra configuration is required on the Plivo platform. ## Next #### [Manage Phone Numbers](/conversations/deploy/telephony/manage-numbers) Add your numbers and route them to agents. #### [All providers](/conversations/deploy/telephony/bring-your-own) See other providers.
